Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bread

A key component to meal prepping is making sure you prepare food that you are excited to eat.  Sure, we all have our basic staples that we survive on every week, but changing it up and making different recipes for some of your meals and snacks will keep you interested in eating healthy and you will be less likely to fall off the wagon.

Enter Complete Physique's Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bread.  This  delicious snack will satisfy that afternoon sweet craving while providing your body with fuel to power through the rest of your day.

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil, softened
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup all natural peanut butter (I used honey roasted peanut butter from whole foods)

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1-2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 dark chocolate bar, chopped 


  1. Preheat oven to 350 
  2. Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper and set aside
  3. In a bowl, combine all dry ingredients (except the chocolate) until well combined
  4. Set aside
  5. Using a standup or electric hand mixer, beat eggs until they are pale yellow and double in size
  6. Add in coconut oil, mashed bananas, and peanut butter and beat until combined
  7. Set the mixer to stir/low and add dry ingredients to the wet ingredient bowl (about 1/2 cup at a time) allowing the dry ingredients to fully incorporate into the batter before adding more
  8. Add chopped chocolate until chocolate is throughout the batter
  9. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean
  10. Allow to cool completely before serving

Recipe makes 8 servings

1 serving = 1 slice of bread
